Ceramic
tile provides a number of benefits over other wall and
floor covering materials. Following is a quick look at
the many benefits our tiles offer:
A.
FIRE RESISTANCE -- Ceramic tiles rank highest in studies
comparing the resistance of building materials under fire.
Ceramic tiles are completely fireproof at any temperature.
They will not burn or feed a fire and their surface will
not emit any toxic gases or fumes during a fire. Tiles
have also been found to provide excellent protection for
structural surfaces if a fire should occur.
B.
COLOR PERMANENCE -- Unlike many wall and floor coverings,
the coloring materials in ceramic tiles will not be affected,
either by changing or fading, by long exposure to light.
C.
DIRT RESISTANCE -- Glazed ceramic tiles do not retain
dust or residues because, simply, they do not adhere well
to the surface.
D.
HYGIENE -- Ceramic tiles will not retain liquids or
absorb fumes, odors or smoke, making them suitable for
any environment where hygiene is essential.
E.
SLIP RESISTANCE -- The slip resistance of ceramic
tiles is comparable to other hard floor coverings. In
addition, some glazed tiles now feature corundum, or an
abrasive grit, that increases their slip resistance substantially.
These tiles are well-suited for public areas with direct
access to the outdoors.
F.
ELECTRICAL CONDUCTIVITY -- Say good-bye to electrostatic
shock from your carpeted floors. Ceramic tiles do not
substantially accumulate electrostatic charges and electrostatic
"shocks" are rarely experienced, so ceramic
tiles are ideal for home computer rooms, etc.
G.
INSULATION -- Ceramic tiles have a negligible thermal
conductivity coefficient, which, simply, means that they
are excellent insulators and passive solar energy collectors.
H.
MECHANICAL STRENGTH -- Ceramic tiles generally demonstrate
a breaking strength greater than the practical requirements
for most floor applications.
